Esty Schwartz is 19 years old and lives in a Satmar Hasidic community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. There she wants to build a secular life, far from everything she has known. Soon she befriends music students from different countries and considers entering the conservatory. Her new friends question what she believed, but her past soon catches up with her. Yanky and Moishe are looking for her, and Moishe is secretly gathering evidence against her.
