In Europe's dynamic audiovisual scene, few profiles have risen as solidly and versatilely as Constance Labbé. Established as one of the most magnetic actresses of her generation, the Parisian performer has skillfully moved between light comedy, police drama and major action productions, becoming a familiar face on French television as well as on the streaming platforms with the greatest international reach.
Born into a family with an artistic sensibility—she is the sister of fellow actor Guillaume Labbé—Constance began her training at the prestigious Cours Florent in Paris. However, her ambition to refine her craft led her to cross the Atlantic to enroll at HB Studio in New York. This American chapter not only polished her acting range but also gave her a bilingual ease that has been decisive in her later career.
After returning to France, she began building her career on the theater stage and with small roles in film and television. Her first film work, including Joyeuse retraite!, let audiences discover her gift for comedy, while her role in long-running series gave her the experience needed to take on bigger challenges.
Constance Labbé's name took on a new dimension when she took on the role of Captain Camille Costes in the hit series Balthazar. Joining an already established production to replace a main character was a risky challenge, but Labbé not only rose to it, she revitalized the show. Her chemistry with Tomer Sisley and her ability to give her character both vulnerability and strength earned her unanimous praise from critics and audiences alike, placing her at the forefront of the industry.
Following this success, her presence in noir projects grew. She notably starred in Piste Noire, a thriller set in the French Alps, where she showed a maturity capable of carrying complex plots and oppressive atmospheres.
The project that ultimately catapulted her career to global levels was the ambitious live-action adaptation of Cat's Eyes. In this major TF1 production, made in collaboration with international platforms, Labbé takes on the iconic role of Sylia Chamade. The series, which stands out for its technical scale and action choreography, allowed the actress to show a physical, heroic side that had been little explored until then, confirming her status as a European star with export potential.
Today, Constance Labbé is known for a remarkably smart selection of projects. Far from being typecast in the crime genre that made her famous, she keeps alternating between auteur cinema and big-budget productions. Her commitment to acting shows in a natural stage presence, free of artifice, and an innate ability to connect with contemporary audiences. With several feature film projects confirmed and new seasons of her most iconic series on the way, Labbé stands out as a key figure for understanding the evolution of French fiction in the current decade.
