The school-yard beginnings

Gabriel Guevara stepped onto a professional set for the first time in 2018. He was seventeen when he joined the cast of Skam España to bring Cristian to life. It was a quiet but effective entry into a production that sought to capture teenage reality without excessive filters.

Before that moment, his life unfolded in Madrid, surrounded by an artistic environment that was well acquainted with the spotlight. But Guevara chose to forge his own path, far from the media noise surrounding his famous last name. In 2020 he appeared in the series Señoras del (h)AMPA and shortly after in HIT, where he began shaping the troubled-boy persona that would later bring him so much success.

And the gamble paid off.

The platform's breakout moment

His real breakthrough came in 2023 with the release of My Fault on Prime Video. The adaptation of Mercedes Ron's novel put him at the center of a fan phenomenon that crossed Spain's borders. More than 190 countries watched Nick Leister's story during its first weeks on air.

Because the success was no accident but the result of obvious chemistry with his co-star. Filming this movie demanded a level of physical and emotional exposure that Guevara handled with a technical composure unusual for his age. So the studio wasted no time confirming the sequels Your Fault and Our Fault for 2024 and 2025.

In 2022 he had already explored other registers in the biographical series Bosé, playing Nacho Duato. It was a brief role. But it showed casting directors that his look could fit period stories and more sophisticated settings than teen drama.

This project marked a complete change of direction.

New Ground and the International Market

Guevara filmed the series Ni una más for Netflix in 2024. Here the tone shifts toward social drama and exposé, moving away from the teen romance that brought him worldwide fame. It is a project that addresses sexual violence in classrooms, and his character adds a tension essential to the plot.

The industry is calling him for projects with greater dramatic weight. In 2024 he also appeared in Desde el mañana, a series that blends thriller with supernatural elements. But his big challenge for 2025 is Mar afuera, the Spanish adaptation of the Italian hit Mare Fuori, where he plays a upper-class pianist who ends up in a juvenile correctional facility.

Filming for the first season of this drama took place on location in Valencia over several months of 2024. Guevara had to prepare for a fictional prison setting that is a far cry from the luxuries of his previous celebrities roles. Almost six million followers on social media keep a close eye on his every professional move while the actor works to keep his private life under wraps.

In 2025 his schedule is booked with post-production on the Culpables trilogy.
