Luna Baxter

The Stage Discipline

Luna Baxter was born in Guatemala, but her professional career is viscerally tied to Colombia. Her training in physical theater and her time at the Bogotá Higher School of Arts gave her a technical foundation that many actors of her generation overlook. In 2017, she played Sonia Maestre in Tarde lo conocí.

That role earned her the India Catalina Award for Best Supporting Actress. And that recognition changed her schedule forever.

Theater is her foundation.

In 2019, she appeared in La Guzmán and soon after joined the cast of La Reina del Flow. Yet her interest has never been limited to mainstream fiction. She prefers characters who move through gray areas or who demand real physical effort on set.

Music and Risk

Away from the television spotlight, she maintains a music career under the name Baxter. Her sound blends jazz with experimental pop and deliberately steers away from the commercial rhythms that dominate Colombian radio. In 2021, she released the single In My Place.

She isn't chasing quick fame, but artistic consistency.

In 2021, she also joined El Cartel de los Sapos: El origen, where she played Silvia. This Netflix production allowed her to work on a rawer period narrative. The shoot was carried out under health protocols that delayed post-production by several months due to transportation logistics.

Because her profile fits both the historical drama and the action thriller.

International Expansion

In 2022, she filmed the series Echo 3 for Apple TV+. She worked under Mark Boal on a military rescue story in which she played Mónica Tedesco. Filming included hard-to-reach locations in the Colombian jungle and required prior training with combat advisors.

And the global market responded well.

In 2023, she joined the cast of Pálpito for its second season. Her character became a key piece of a suspense storyline that hit number one in more than eighty countries. The production used Sony Venice 2 cameras to achieve a high-contrast cinematic look in the night scenes.
