Neslihan Yeldan graduated from the State Conservatory of Istanbul University in 1995. Before that, she had already performed on stage with the Ortaoyuncular company in 1987. She wasn't chasing the quick fame of magazine covers, since her training was purely academic.
Theater was her first trench.
In 1995, she began playing Füsun in Bir Demet Tiyatro. That project lasted seven years and gave her a technical foundation that many actors of her generation envied. But film and commercial television soon came calling with more lucrative contracts.
And the gamble paid off.
During that decade, she alternated studio shoots with dubbing international films. Her voice is one of the most recognizable in Turkey, thanks to her work dubbing animated characters and Hollywood actresses into Turkish. This side of her career gave her the financial stability that theater doesn't always guarantee.
In 2014, her career took on a different dimension beyond Turkey's borders. She played Önem Dinçer in Kiraz Mevsimi (known as Amar es primavera in Spain). It was a production that broke viewership records across the Mediterranean and put her on the radar of European distributors.
Television came later and changed the rules.
Starting in 2017, she took part in İstanbullu Gelin, playing Senem. On this series, she worked under the direction of Zeynep Günay Tan. Local critics noted that her performance avoided the melodramatic excesses common to the genre. Her name soon became associated with strong, elegant women with a touch of irony.
But her major international breakthrough came in 2020 with Sen Çal Kapımı. In this romantic comedy, she brought to life Aydan Bolat, the lead character's mother. The series was sold to more than 85 countries and generated a fan phenomenon that Yeldan handled with complete professional detachment.
She never abandoned her classical training despite the spotlight.
In 2022, she joined the cast of Hayat Bugün, an adaptation of the American medical series New Amsterdam. She played the head of oncology in a production that called for a much more restrained tone than her previous work. The change in register was evident to fans who knew her only from her light comedy roles.
Because for her, the script always comes before the look of the character. In 2024, she took part in the action series Gaddar, playing Oya. Filming for this Fox Turkey production marked her return to high-intensity emotional dramas, with workdays that often stretched past twelve hours.
In 2024, the actress had more than 35 credits in television and film, not counting her work as a professional voice actress. She lives in Istanbul and balances her acting career with running her own line of textile products. In 2024, her official Instagram account had over 1.3 million followers.
