The director was looking for expressiveness that depended less on dialogue and more on gaze and physical tension.

In modern genre cinema, the actor has to work in service of the craft. The film premiered at international festivals before its commercial release to showcase its visual and sound design.

Many young actors fear being typecast in horror or suspense. But Sanjana used these projects to prove she could carry the weight of a complex plot. As a result, her name started coming up for projects that required a maturity her age didn't initially suggest.

Numbers and Realities of the Malayalam Market

The distribution deal for her latest film in 2024 was closed for an amount covering 60% of production costs before its release. This detail reflects how viable her profile is for investors. Filming on her next project was scheduled to begin at the Kochi studios, with a post-production budget in line with B-movie standards.
