Cinema Paradiso

In a small Sicilian village during the years before television arrived (just after World War II), young Toto was fascinated by movies. Toto tries to befriend Alfredo, the local cinema's projectionist, a very irritable man with a big heart. All of these events are told through nostalgic memories of Toto, who has grown up to become a successful filmmaker and relives his childhood when he learns that Alfredo has died.
