Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love

India, 16th century. On the eve of Princess Tara's marriage to the great King Raj Singh, Maya, a maidservant who has long suffered because of the impulsive Tara and was raised alongside her, discovers a way to take revenge. Maya slips into the King's bedchamber and uses her seductive arts to tempt him. Hypnotized, Raj Singh becomes captivated by Maya's irresistible sensuality. But when Maya's betrayal is discovered, she is banished from the palace forever. Tara wears fine silks and jewels and learns the rules of the Kama Sutra, the Hindu book of love, thanks to the renowned teacher Rosa Devi. Later, when Tara and Raj Singh consummate their marriage, he can only think of Maya. Wandering through Raj Singh's kingdom, Maya catches the attention of Jai, the court sculptor. When he helps her find a place to live, Jai unknowingly reunites Maya with Rosa Devi, who ultimately entrusts her too with the ancient teachings of the Kama Sutra.
