Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo stars in this documentary directed by Anthony Wonke. The camera follows him for 14 months as the Portuguese soccer star answers questions about his career and private life. His interviews are interspersed with testimony from friends, family and teammates. From the outset, the film makes clear that it aims to go beyond the goals: it seeks to portray his family relationships and the challenges he faces as an elite athlete. His mother, Dolores Aveiro, and his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., take up much of the documentary's focus, which also follows their day-to-day lives together.
