The Departed

The Massachusetts State Police face off against the largest organized crime gang in Boston. The strategy is to take down from within Frank Costello, the powerful boss of the Irish mob. The man assigned to infiltrate the gang is a young rookie, Billy Costigan. While Billy tries to win Costello's trust, another young officer, Colin Sullivan, rapidly rises through the ranks and lands a spot in the Special Investigations unit, an elite group whose mission is also to take down Costello. What no one knows is that Colin is a mole planted in the police by Costello himself.
