What Season 1 of Babylon Berlin

In 1929, Berlin is living through the final years of the Weimar Republic. Inspector Gereon Rath arrives from Cologne to join the vice squad on an undercover mission: to break up a pornography ring operating in the movie theaters. The investigation leads him through the political movements of the era and the nightlife of the cabarets. To help him, he has Charlotte Ritter, a typist who works part-time for the police and dreams of becoming an inspector. Charlotte wants to escape the poverty of her working-class neighborhood and frequents the Moka Efti, a club packed with music, dancing and sex. The two must navigate their way among communists, Nazis, gangsters and Russian immigrants.
