What Season 1 of Blackadder

The season opens in medieval England during the fictional reign of Richard IV, after the Wars of the Roses. Edmund, Duke of Edinburgh, known as the Black Adder, lives at court with his father the king, his mother Queen Gertrude and his brother Harry. His servant Baldrick is by his side in every scrape. Problems pile up: Scottish lands that Edmund considers unjust, a crusade of festivities that he turns into a target for revenge, an archbishopric of Canterbury that the king has reserved for him, and an arranged marriage to the Spanish infanta that Edmund tries to avoid. Rowan Atkinson plays the lead and Tony Robinson plays Baldrick in palace intrigues that are as wicked as they are funny.
