What Season 1 of Halt and Catch Fire

In 1983, Joe MacMillan arrives at Cardiff Electric, a software company based in Dallas, with a clear plan: build a team capable of taking on IBM, which dominates the PC market. Joe has plenty of charm but little technical training, so he recruits hardware engineer Gordon Clark and Cameron Howe, a young programmer of great talent. The project kicks off in Texas's Silicon Prairie, where the lack of capital weighs as heavily as the competition. The three must learn to work together, but ego and greed put to the test a partnership that is fragile from the start.
