What Season 1 of Highway to Heaven

Jonathan Smith is an angel who comes down to Earth in human form with a clear mission: to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. Along the way he meets Mark Gordon, a bitter retired cop who jumps from job to job with no direction. Mark is distrustful at first, but ends up helping him and starts to believe in what he truly is. Together they travel the country roads of towns and cities, taking jobs and false identities that bring them close to the people Providence has marked. Jonathan uses his celestial powers, and Mark draws on a lifetime of experience to counsel these people and encourage them to overcome their problems.
