What Season 2 of Life on Mars

The second and final season picks up with Sam Tyler in 1973, still stuck in the Manchester police of that era. Sam keeps trying to figure out what brought him there and tries to change how his colleagues work, though they still follow Gene Hunt's orders. The team faces a series of bombs aimed at the Irish community, a homicide at a boxing club, and a group of libertines in the suburbs. The investigations are tough, and fights among the officers themselves complicate every case. Sam, for his part, refuses to give up on finding a way out of that world.
