What Season 3 of Luther

John Luther, Detective Chief Inspector of London's Serious Crime Unit, becomes the target of Detective Erin Gray, who is determined to take him down. To do so, she enlists retired Superintendent George Stark, who returns to work with the same goal. Together they pressure Sergeant Justin Ripley to spy on Luther and report any criminal act, unlawful act, or simple excess that could get him removed from the force. Meanwhile, Luther believes the murder of Emily Hammond reminds him of another case and that the killer will strike again, but he is assigned the death of Jared Cass. Tensions rise when Luther confronts Gray and demands that she not use Ripley to get back at him.
