What Season 1 of Mars

Mars blends fiction with documentary and hard science fiction, and it airs on National Geographic. In 2033, six astronauts lift off from Florida with a clear goal: to be the first to set foot on the Red Planet. During the descent, the Daedalus spacecraft suffers a malfunction and lands 75.3 kilometers from the planned site, where a habitat sent ahead of them awaits. From Earth, the mission control team follows every step. The hostile terrain, radiation and mental pressure put the crew to the test. Between the fictional scenes, real interviews with scientists, engineers and public figures explain the challenges the journey and life on Mars could pose.
