What Season 1 of Mr. Mercedes

A Mercedes emerges from the fog at dawn and plows into hundreds of unemployed people waiting in line outside an employment office. Its driver flees. Months later, retired detective Bill Hodges, played by Brendan Gleeson, is still obsessed with the unsolved case when he receives a letter from someone confessing to the crime. It's signed by Brady Hartsfield, a man who lives with his alcoholic mother and wants to relive the thrill of that morning. Hodges launches a private, and potentially criminal, crusade to catch a killer who has no intention of stopping the game. He has help from Janey, Holly, Jerome, Pete, and Izzy.
