What Season 1 of Murdoch Mysteries

Toronto, 1895. Detective William Murdoch, a Catholic in a Protestant city, works for the Toronto Police and faces cases others can't solve. To do so, he relies on methods ahead of their time, such as fingerprinting, blood analysis and evidence tracking. Sometimes he improvises prototypes of far more modern technologies. He is joined by Constable George Crabtree and forensic pathologist Julia Ogden, while Inspector Brackenreid must decide how much to trust his methods. Real historical figures such as Nikola Tesla and Arthur Conan Doyle appear in the episodes.
