What Season 1 of Pride and Prejudice

The five Bennet sisters have no dowry, so their chances of marrying well are slim, and their mother can't stop worrying about it. The arrival of Charles Bingley, a wealthy man from northern England who rents Netherfield estate near Meryton, sparks their hopes. Bingley quickly takes an interest in Jane, the eldest. Elizabeth, the second sister, with her sharp tongue, often crosses paths with Darcy, Bingley's friend, whom she finds far too arrogant. Prejudice and social differences complicate every attempt at getting closer. The visit of Mr. Collins, a cousin of the family, throws the house into chaos, and his dealings with Wickham deepen Elizabeth's distrust of Darcy.
