What Season 2 of Red Dwarf

Season two picks up life aboard the nearly ten-kilometer mining ship Red Dwarf, three million years after a cadmium leak wiped out the crew. Dave Lister, the last living human, lives with Arnold Rimmer, a hologram he can't stand, and Cat, a life form born from his cat. A distress signal leads the ship to the wreckage of a space shuttle. Later, a malfunction in Holly leaves command in the hands of Queeg 500, the backup computer, who runs a crew of misfits. Time jumps and parallel universes add problems to an already tense living situation, while Lister keeps wanting to return to Earth.
