Red Eagle: Season 1

Gonzalo de Montalvo, a schoolteacher, transforms into the character known as "Red Eagle" (a member of the Order of the Assassins, which he joined during his travels through the Orient and the Arab world, whose origins go back to the ancient Persian Empire, where they served as spies and protectors of the Great King, and whose symbol is the Zoroastrian eagle) to uncover who killed his wife Cristina and avenge her death. This means thwarting the conspiracies against the Hispanic Monarchy, the crown of the Habsburgs, carried out by a secret society called The Lodge, whose members include Hernán Mejías (the Town Magistrate) and Lucrecia, Marchioness of Santillana. To do so, he is aided by Saturno, his loyal servant (whom he rescued from the Town prison), and Agustín, a mysterious friar who has looked after him since the "supposed" death of his parents. At the end of this season, Red Eagle discovers that his wife's killer is the Magistrate. The two fight to the death, and Red Eagle manages to disarm and knock out the Magistrate. As he is about to deliver the fatal blow to Hernán, Agustín appears and tells him that the Magistrate is his brother. Faced with this revelation, Red Eagle sheathes his sword, unable to kill him.
