Synopsis of Red Eagle
Madrid, around the year 1660, during the reign of Philip IV. Gonzalo de Montalvo is a schoolteacher in the town, but he is also the man hiding behind a mask. When someone murders his wife, Cristina, Gonzalo decides to become Red Eagle to uncover the culprit and avenge her death. His path leads him to thwart the plans of La Logia, a secret society conspiring against the Hispanic Monarchy, the crown of the Habsburgs. He is joined by Saturno, his loyal servant, as he tries to balance his double life with his duties as a father and defender of the people. The series was created by Pilar Nadal, Ernesto Pozuelo, Juan Carlos Cueto, Daniel Écija and Carmen O. Carbonero, airs on La 1, and stars David Janer.
