What Season 1 of Scrubs

Scrubs opens with the first day of John Michael "J.D." Dorian as an intern at Sacred Heart Teaching Hospital. J.D. narrates each episode in the first person and escapes into exaggerated daydreams as he tries to prove he belongs in the profession. His best friend, Turk, comes across as confident on the team, which contrasts with the main character's doubts. Among difficult patients, demanding superiors like Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso, and colleagues like Elliot, J.D. learns to treat patients and find his place. Each episode weaves together several stories with the main character's reflections on friendship and the job.
