What Season 1 of She Was Pretty

As a girl, Kim Hye-jin was a pretty girl from a wealthy family. When her parents' publishing house goes bankrupt, she loses much of her attractiveness. Earlier, Ji Sung-joon, a shy and insecure boy, confesses that he has feelings for her and leaves for overseas. Years later, he returns to Seoul as a successful editor and joins the magazine The Most. Ashamed of her appearance, Hye-jin asks her best friend, Min Ha-ri, to pose as her. Soon she discovers that Sung-joon is her boss and that he treats her with contempt. The story revolves around whether appearances can change feelings and how long a lie like that can last.
