What Season 2 of The Jinx
The second season opens with Robert Durst's escape, which ends with his arrest in New Orleans and charges for the murder of his friend Susan Berman. From there, the documentary follows the investigation over eight years and brings hidden material to light, including phone calls Durst made from jail and testimony from people who had previously refused to speak. Much of the episodes center on the trial. Prosecutors revisit the disappearance of Kathie, the millionaire's first wife, and argue that Berman helped him cover it up. Durst tries to tell his side of the story before the court. The key figures driving the plot are Durst himself, his longtime confidant Stewart Altman and prosecutor Lewin.
