What Season 1 of The Mosquito Coast

Allie Fox is an idealistic engineer who has built his home far from the government and big corporations. Together with his wife, Margot, and their children, Dina and Charlie, he lives in a self-sufficient house, makes his own fuel and rejects consumerism. When American authorities track the family down, they flee to Mexico. To cross the border, they turn to two coyotes, then must cross the desert with federal agents hot on their heels. The route leads them to a hacienda where a powerful matriarch treats them as pawns in her game. Allie watches his convictions being tested at every step.
