What Season 1 of The Sinner
Dorchester, a fictional town in New York State, is shaken when Cora, a young mother, stabs a stranger multiple times on a beach in full view of everyone. She doesn't know why she did it, and no one can find a motive. Detective Harry Ambrose, played by Bill Pullman, takes on the case and becomes obsessed with understanding what drove her to act. To do so, he examines her past, her family and her surroundings. With the help of hypnosis, memories begin to surface and pull both of them toward violent secrets. The series, created by Derek Simonds for USA Network, opens a mystery crime anthology.
