What Season 1 of Wrong Side of the Tracks

Tirso Abantos is a former military man who runs a neighborhood hardware store. Solitary and not one to show affection, after a family incident he is forced to look after his granddaughter Irene for a time, a rebellious, defiant young woman of Vietnamese origin whom Tirso's daughter is unable to control. The clash between grandfather and granddaughter is total, and living together becomes complicated from the very start, not only because of their personalities, but also because of the bad company Irene keeps in the neighborhood and her determination to run away, at any cost, with her beloved Colombian boyfriend. In his attempt to set her straight, Tirso is forced to abandon his routine and becomes an accidental hero who stands up to the gangs taking over the streets, knowing full well that this role will only bring him trouble.
