Wrong Side of the Tracks

Tirso Abantos is a retired veteran soldier who runs a hardware store in Wrong Side of the Tracks, one of the humblest neighborhoods in Madrid. Solitary, cold, and not one for showing affection, he lives trapped in a fixed routine until a family incident forces him to take custody of his granddaughter, Irene, a rebellious teenager who hangs out with bad company in the area. Living together starts out tense from day one, because their personalities clash head-on and the girl wants to run away at any cost with Nelson Gutiérrez, a Colombian gang member she adores. Tirso tries to bring discipline into his granddaughter's life, but the pressure of the streets complicates every move he makes. Created by David Bermejo and aired on Telecinco, the series follows the clash between an old-school grandfather and a young woman who refuses to follow rules.
