Arianna Rivas

The leap from anonymity

Arianna Rivas landed on the set of Elite in 2021 without making much noise. Her casting for the sixth season of the Netflix franchise was not a stroke of luck but the result of a casting process that lasted months.

Her character's performance required a mix of coldness and vulnerability that few actresses her age could handle at the time. But she understood that massive exposure was a double-edged sword.

A global audience put her on the map overnight.

And the risk paid off.

After filming in Madrid, she sought out projects that would move her away from the young-actress stereotype. In 2022, she took part in smaller productions where the dramatic weight rested on silences rather than shouted dialogue. The Spanish industry began to see in her a performer who could hold veteran professionals' gaze without blinking.

Maturity Under the Direction of Oriol Paulo

In 2024, she faced her big test with La última noche en Tremore Beach. Working under Oriol Paulo means entering a precision machine where every gesture is measured to the millimeter.

The camera never lies.

During the filming of this miniseries in Asturias, she had to endure fourteen-hour workdays under harsh weather conditions. The role of Judit required not only intense psychological preparation (including studying complex trauma) but also a physical endurance she had never experienced before.

Earned praise from specialized critics for her restraint.

Success on streaming platforms is fleeting, but directors' respect for casting is built on risky choices. In 2024, she also joined the cast of La casa de cristal, where she explored a darker register that was less accommodating to the average viewer.

The business of image and 2025's projects

Unlike other figures of her generation, she keeps a prudent distance from the noise of social media. She prefers to let her contracts speak for her. In 2025, she is set to premiere in Olympo, a Netflix production that once again places her in a high-stakes dramatic competition setting.

She isn't a method actress in the usual sense, but she takes technique very seriously. Before stepping onto set, she usually goes over her co-stars' lines to understand the rhythm of the entire scene, not just her own part of the script.

Her career follows an upward curve that avoids unnecessary dips. In 2025, the filming of her new projects has been centered on Mediterranean coast locations, with a production crew of more than two hundred people. The budget for these large-scale productions guarantees simultaneous distribution in over one hundred ninety countries.

The final day of shooting for her most ambitious project wrapped at four in the morning on a cliff in Alicante, with a temperature of four degrees below zero.
