Gökçe Eyüboğlu never planned to make a living under the spotlight of a studio. Her initial academic training pointed toward offices and institutional management at Istanbul University. But her calling ended up outweighing the administrative law textbooks.
She decided to train at the Akademi 35.5, where she began refining a dry, direct acting style. Her first major opportunity in front of the camera came in 2013 with the series Aşk ve Ceza. It was not an easy road. For several years she alternated supporting roles with theater work to pay the bills.
And the gamble paid off.
In 2017, her luck changed dramatically when she accepted the role of Ceyda in the series Kadın. The character was a woman with an iron shell and a devastated personal life, surviving in a hostile environment. She made audiences sympathize with an unlikable character through silences and glances charged with suppressed aggression. The show was exported to dozens of countries, and her face became a familiar sight on screens across half of Europe.
Many actors settle once they find a type that guarantees work. Eyüboğlu preferred to break the mold before the cement had fully set. In 2020, she joined the cast of Zümrüdüanka as Deniz Aksoy. It was a tactical move to step out from the shadow of her previous success.
But her real change of direction came in 2021.
That year she took on the role of Sanem Cevher in Evlilik Hakkında Her Şey. In this adaptation of the British series The Split, she played a divorce lawyer with a chaotic love life and a strongly marked professional cynicism. The project reached 33 episodes and allowed the actress to explore sharp comedy in a setting of luxury and legal betrayal.
Before shooting each scene, she usually works through the scripts with an almost military discipline. She leaves no room for improvisation unless it is justified by the character's arc. For her, acting is a technical craft rather than a mystical explosion of emotions.
The production pace in the Turkish industry is exhausting, and she has known how to navigate that intensity without burning out. In 2022, she took part in the series Mahkum, playing Giryan. It was a brief but necessary appearance to keep her momentum in the industry after the end of her previous legal drama.
The physical demands of film shoots have never been an obstacle for her.
In 2023, she joined the cast of Bambaşka Biri to bring the character Nuray to life. The series generated great anticipation around its lead couple, but Eyüboğlu managed to stand out in the secondary storylines with unquestionable technical skill. That same year, she also shot the series Şahane Hayatım, playing Didem.
Her career isn't limited to conventional television. She has taken part in film projects such as Kayhan in 2018, and she has a strong bond with the stage. In theater, she stood out in the play Mutluyduk Belki Bugüne Kadar, where she played Eva. The stage production earned her a nomination at the Afife Jale Awards for her ability to sustain dramatic tension for nearly two hours without a break.
Gökçe Eyüboğlu closed out the production cycle of 2024 with a steady presence in prime-time dramas. Her longest contract to date involved shooting days of more than 14 hours a day on the outskirts of Istanbul.
