The rigor of the Moscow school

Stasya Miloslavskaya was born in 1995 into a family where art was no stranger. Her father led a musical ensemble and her mother worked as a model, but she chose to pursue a different path in acting. In 2013, she got into the Moscow Art Theatre under the mentorship of Evgeny Pisarev.

There she learned that physical control is just as important as the voice. She graduated in 2017 after years of balancing classes with her first real jobs in front of the camera.

Her commercial film debut came in 2015 with The Pitch.

She played Nastya in a story about soccer and social conflict. The film was not a global phenomenon, but it got casting directors to notice her ability to convey tension with barely any dialogue. And that opened the door to more ambitious projects.

From sports to international espionage

In 2020, she took part in Streltsov, a biographical film about a Soviet soccer star. It was a long and complex shoot that radically changed her personal life. There she met Alexander Petrov, and they began a relationship that the Russian tabloids milked for years.

But her career didn't stop at the sports drama.

That same year she released Fire and On the Edge, two action films that demanded constant physical effort. In 2022 she got her big break on Netflix with the series In From the Cold. She shot most of her scenes in Madrid, playing a spy with special genetic abilities.

The production used Sony Venice cameras to capture the story's cold aesthetic.

Working on a global platform allowed her to move beyond the purely Slavic circuit. But the geopolitical situation made it hard to keep many of these international projects going in the following years.

The year of the breakup and new projects

In 2023, her personal life made headlines for reasons unrelated to her talent. Her relationship with Petrov ended unexpectedly when the actor announced his marriage to someone else on social media. Stasya stayed silent and threw herself into constant work.

She has not given any exclusive interviews on the subject.

In 2024, she filmed the historical series Stolypin, in which she plays a young revolutionary in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century. The costume design for this production required more than 500 handmade costumes to recreate the atmosphere of the era. She also wrapped filming on Chelyuskin, about the rescue of a ship trapped in the Arctic ice.

The actress is still tied to the Pushkin Theatre in Moscow to stay in direct contact with live audiences. In 2025, her schedule includes two arthouse feature films with budgets under three million euros.
