The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

Buckaroo Banzai, a prestigious scientist, neurosurgeon, race car driver, rock singer, and comic book hero, opens a door to another dimension during one of his investigations. The problem is that this dimension is being used as a prison by an alien race, and Earth is threatened with invasion or destruction by the alien police. So Buckaroo, with the help of his bodyguard, his scientist colleagues, the rock group, some of his fans, an alien ambassador, and a Texan country singer, sets out to deal with the matter.
