What Season 1 of 3 Body Problem

The season kicks off in China during the Cultural Revolution, where astrophysicist Ye Wenjie goes through a traumatic experience. Because of her background, the authorities assign her to a secret military base during the Cold War, where she attempts the first contact with an alien civilization. Years later, the action moves to London and Oxford. There, a group of young scientists known as the Oxford Five begins to suspect that something strange is happening in their field. Intelligence officer Da Shi investigates a series of bizarre incidents among British researchers. The underlying conflict is the arrival of alien beings: humanity is divided between those who welcome them with hope and those who prepare to resist. Benedict Wong, Liam Cunningham and Eiza González star as the main cast.
