What Season 1 of Castlevania: Nocturne

The series begins in 1792, during the French Revolution, and takes place mostly in the commune of Machecoul. Richter Belmont, a young vampire hunter, leads the story alongside his adoptive sister, María Renard. Both aim to stop the rise of a vampire Messiah, a near-divine figure who could unleash the apocalypse. To do so, they need to gather new allies, including Annette and Edouard, stern-looking characters whose pasts hide painful secrets. Each must confront their own trauma while the vampires threaten to plunge the world into eternal darkness. The conflict also brings to light the legacy of the protagonists' families.
