Jessica, the mother, is demanding and competitive, and clashes with a community with very few Asian residents. Eddie, the eldest son, a fan of hip hop and basketball, has to find his place at a school where he doesn't fit in. Between extra chores, neighborhood parties and a billboard that someone vandalizes, the family tries to adjust to a very different life.
