What Season 18 of Mayday

The season opens in Sacramento with Emery Worldwide Flight 17, which crashes into a scrapyard shortly after takeoff. The accident originates in a maintenance error that jams a flight control mechanism. From there, the series covers events from different decades and countries, from a landing in bad weather in Magong to an experimental spacecraft in the Mojave Desert. Each episode mixes dramatized reenactments, computer animation and archival footage with interviews with aviation experts, retired pilots and investigators. They are the ones who explain what failed, how it was investigated and what could have been prevented. Stephen Bogaert's narration ties the story together from start to finish.
