What Season 2 of My Wife and Kids

Michael Kyle wants a calm, traditional life in Stamford, Connecticut, but his family isn't making it easy. The owner of a trucking company, he is convinced he runs the house, though Janet, who sells goods on her own, Michael Jr., a gangsta rap fan, and the younger girls, Claire and Kady, have other ideas. This season pits Michael against everyday problems: a daughter who runs away from home, a dinner with the Tylers that ends in a fight, Janet's diet after losing her job, and Claire's first boyfriend. Each episode shows the gap between what Michael wants and what he gets.
