What Season 1 of Parasyte -the maxim-
Shinichi Izumi is seventeen years old, lives with his parents in a quiet neighborhood in Japan, and expects nothing out of the ordinary. One night, worm-like creatures arrive on Earth and invade human brains. One of them tries to enter the boy's nose while he sleeps, but he wakes up in time, and the parasite settles in his arm. Shinichi names it Migi. The organism keeps its brain intact, so the two must live together. Meanwhile, other parasites see humans as nothing more than food, and the protagonist must confront them. Characters surrounding his story include Murano, Satomi, and Reiko Tamura. The series adapts Hitoshi Iwaaki's manga and airs on Nippon TV.
