What Season 1 of Perception

Chicago. Dr. Daniel Pierce teaches neuroscience at a university in the city. He is a brilliant professor, though he lives with paranoid schizophrenia, which fills his days with voices and images no one else perceives. His former student Kate Moretti, an FBI agent, asks him to help the federal office with the most complicated cases. Pierce agrees, and his mind starts producing clues the police can't find. He's joined by Max Lewicki, his assistant, who brings him back to reality when needed, and Natalie Vincent, a hallucination who has earned his trust. The challenge is telling what's real from what his mind invents while he tries to solve the crimes.
