What Season 1 of Rizzoli & Isles

Jane Rizzoli is a Homicide detective in Boston who has been on the trail of Charles Hoyt, a serial killer expelled from medical school who tortures and murders vulnerable women. Her partner on the cases is Maura Isles, the chief medical examiner of Massachusetts, methodical, awkward in social situations, and incapable of hiding what she thinks. Jane is blunt, sarcastic, and difficult, so these two opposite personalities must learn to work together. They combine their expertise to solve homicides in the city. Jane's Italian-American parents, who are very protective, also bring the family side of the season.
