What Season 7 of S.W.A.T.

Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, a sergeant born and raised in South Los Angeles and a former Marine, is tasked with leading a new LAPD SWAT unit. His role is to step in as a last resort against the most serious crimes. He arrives at a tense time, with the city outraged over the accidental shooting of an innocent teenager. Hondo must win the trust of a community that distrusts officers while also imposing discipline on a team that doesn't fully accept his appointment. Deacon Kay feels sidelined, and Jessica Cortez, with whom Hondo is secretly in a relationship, becomes his direct superior. The cases take the team from Mexico to various parts of the city, with fugitives, robberies and threats that test his leadership.
