What Season 1 of Sherlock

Sherlock updates Arthur Conan Doyle's novels to modern-day London. Watson, a military doctor just back from Afghanistan, is looking for a fresh start in the city and ends up sharing an apartment with Sherlock Holmes, a detective with prodigious powers of deduction and a distant manner. The police initially distrust him, but Holmes offers to solve the most brutal crimes shaking the capital. Together they investigate cases ranging from a series of deaths linked to a poisoned pill to a mysterious bank heist. Watson chronicles their adventures on a blog that attracts the press, and Holmes starts to notice that someone is following his steps: the mysterious James Moriarty. As their friendship grows, Watson leaves behind his role as a traumatized veteran and becomes a kind of hero.
