What Season 1 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
The series follows the USS Enterprise in the decade before Kirk's mission. Captain Christopher Pike, played by Anson Mount, commands the ship alongside Number One, played by Rebecca Romijn, and science officer Spock, played by Ethan Peck. During their second five-year mission, the crew explores unknown worlds and encounters species and dangers they have never seen before. Each episode presents a new problem, and the characters must balance diplomacy, duty and scientific curiosity. The storytelling is episodic, as in the classic franchise, with a more modern tone.
