What Season 1 of The King: Eternal Monarch

Emperor Lee Gon rules the Kingdom of Corea, a modern nation where the royal family lives surrounded by intrigue. After his father's death, he passes through a mythical door that leads him to the Republic of Corea, a parallel reality. There he meets Jeong Tae-eul, a police inspector whose badge is tied to his father's murder, a key moment from his childhood. Lee Gon wants to stop the atrocities of his half-uncle, Lee Lim, who killed the previous king and is secretly gathering armies. To do so, he needs the other half of the Manpasikjeok flute, the object that connects both worlds. Kim Eun-sook wrote the screenplay.
