What Season 1 of The Mess You Leave Behind

Raquel is a Literature teacher who accepts a substitute position at the high school in Novariz, a small town in Galicia where her husband is from. She takes over the post of a teacher who has passed away, and her excitement about starting to teach collides with the welcome she receives from the students. On her first day, she finds a note asking how long it will take her to die. To find out who is threatening a newcomer, she digs into the life of the teacher she is replacing and the mark that teacher left on the community. Everyone in town seems to know each other, and the mystery moves between the classroom and the neighborhood. Carlos Montero created and directs the series, which airs on Netflix.
