What Season 1 of Unbelievable

Marie is an adopted teenager who reports being raped in her own home. The Washington police don't believe her and accuse her of lying, so she must face suspicion, social pressure and doubts from the family that took her in, including her adoptive parents. Meanwhile, in Colorado, detectives Grace Rasmussen and Karen Duvall are investigating several similar attacks that may be connected. Both are searching for the person responsible and want to know how much of Marie's story is true. Toni Collette and Merritt Wever bring the investigators to life. The story is inspired by real events that took place between 2008 and 2011.
