Amber Rose Revah

From the Outskirts of London to Baghdad

Amber Rose Revah was born in London in 1986. She grew up in a home that blended Kenyan, Indian and Polish roots. That heritage allowed her to move between ethnicities on screen before the industry knew what to do with her.

She studied at Brunel University, where she trained in performing arts and began looking for her place in a British market that still leaned heavily on typecasting. Her first professional role came in 2007 with the film The World Unseen.

In 2008, she played Hala Hussein in the miniseries House of Saddam. It was a BBC and HBO project that demanded absolute coldness. But she made sure the character was not just a shadow of the dictator.

Realism was the priority.

In 2014 she played Mary Magdalene in Son of God. The film grossed 67 million dollars in the United States. Her niche audience responded en masse and put her on the map of Los Angeles studios.

The Law According to Dinah Madani

Marvel signed her in 2017 to play Special Agent Dinah Madani in The Punisher. Filming in New York lasted months. Revah had to train with real firearms so her movements would look convincing in the action scenes.

She worked alongside Jon Bernthal for two seasons. The Netflix series explored trauma and violence in a raw way. And she held her own against a volcanic lead without losing her composure.

The cancellation came in 2019.

But the end of the series didn't slow her work pace. In 2020 she took part in the voice cast of the video game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. She voiced several supporting characters and experimented with motion capture in the studio.

Making the leap to science fiction

In 2022 she joined the cast of The Peripheral. The Amazon Prime Video series was based on the novel by William Gibson. She played Grace and explored a far more technological and cold register.

That same year, she appeared in Last Light. It was a production about a global energy collapse. Filming took place on location in Abu Dhabi and Prague to convey the international scale of the crisis at the heart of the plot.

In 2023, she starred in The Couple Next Door, a suspense drama for Channel 4 and Starz. David Allison's script placed her alongside Sam Heughan in a story of domestic tension and neighborhood secrets.

So her career moved decisively away from the supporting roles of her early days.

Amber Rose Revah lives in London and keeps a low profile on social media. In 2024, the British production company confirmed her role in a new six-episode audio drama. The contract includes a strict confidentiality clause regarding the final budget.
