Eva Maria Olivia Amurri was born in New York with the spotlight already on her. The daughter of Susan Sarandon and Italian director Franco Amurri, she got an early start. In 1992, she had a small role in Bob Roberts, and that was the beginning of an unstoppable momentum.
Growing up on film sets shapes how you see the world. But she set out to find her own space, away from her mother's shadow. In 2002, she played Sarandon's daughter in The Banger Sisters.
The industry was watching her closely.
In 2004, Saved! arrived and critics truly took notice of her. She played Cassandra, a Jewish student at a Christian high school. It became an instant cult film.
That role gave her a certain creative independence that isn't always easy to manage. In Hollywood, a famous last name opens doors but also builds walls of expectation. So she decided to diversify her profile.
And the bet paid off for a while.
Television offered her more complex characters. In 2009 she appeared in Californication, playing a college student who works as a stripper. It was a risky move.
She appeared in shows like How I Met Your Mother or New Girl during 2011. But the big family project came in 2022 with Monarch. On this Fox series, she shared the screen with her mother again, playing the younger version of Sarandon's character.
The physical resemblance was almost eerie.
In 2015, she launched her lifestyle blog Happily Eva After. It was a deliberate choice to control her own narrative. She stopped relying exclusively on casting calls in Los Angeles to generate her own income.
She divorced Kyle Martino in 2020 after almost a decade of marriage. They have three children together. In June 2024, she married chef Ian Hock in a private ceremony in the Hudson Valley.
Amurri's personal brand brings in thousands of dollars through advertising partnerships and digital content. Her last recorded on-screen appearance was in the film Mothers and Daughters in 2016, before she shifted almost entirely to her career as a digital entrepreneur.
The domain of her main website is registered under a limited liability company in Connecticut.
